We were relying on a nanny during the worst of the pandemic. Our toddler was doing well but was missing out on socialization. Now that he is at Starboard Academy he is really thriving. It is a beautiful new facility with the owners onsite managing the team. The staff is excellent. My son is always impatient in the morning to get out to door and go to ‘school’. The Teacher maintain a log of my son’s activities through out the day. We use an app that allows us to check in on our child and view the log. We also get an email with a summary of his day with lots of pictures. I forward the email to the grandparents every day. They love it. This is the 3rd early childcare center we have used as a family. It is by far the best one. We were thrilled when our son got accepted. I strongly recommend it.

The school is set up perfectly for child development and the teachers and staff take so much care to ensure you and your children have the best experience. My two boys have been here for over a year and we couldn't be happier with their teachers and administration! Aside from the beautiful classrooms and amazing amenities, the heart of any school is always the staff. My kids really love their teachers! We toured several schools before choosing this one and none of them compared. The attention to detail is exceptional. I love the fact that it is family owned and operated. I personally have never had any difficulties when I needed to communicate with administration and I've always had such a great, friendly interaction both in person and on the phone. I believe everyone knows us on a first name basis and we are always welcomed with a smile. As a mother who's profession is in social work I have seen first hand the importance of quality education at an early age. I like that the music and Spanish programs are not a separate charge and they are part of the weekly curriculum. One big selling point for us was that children are not confined to one room all day. They have a cafeteria, indoor playground, library, art and science room for the children. The school is very clean and the janitors go above and beyond the call of duty, like holding an umbrella and taking families to their car when it is raining. Having a nurse on staff was also an important aspect for our family when choosing a school. I have recommended the school to both my friends and coworkers. Although the school is a little more expensive than some of the other programs that we looked at, I believe it is well worth the extra cost.

The fact that I have to coax my 2 year old off the playground when it's time to go home is a good thing. The teachers are amazing & the place is clean. Can't ask for much more than that! This is my 4.5 year old's third school (because we have moved) and this is the first place he has actually been excited about going to school. It has exposed them to different foods and I noticed shortly after they started that they were more willing to try new foods at home! My two daughters have attended here for the last 4 years and it has been the best decision I have ever made in regards to their future. The teachers, administrative staff, chef, and everyone that works there feels like family. I moved my girls over from another school where I became concerned that they were not getting what was promised at the beginning when we enrolled, and noticed they were actually taking steps back in their education. Two weeks in, and my 3 year old was caught up on counting, letter recognition, and came home HAPPY at the end of the day. My oldest daughter would come home excited to tell me about the science experiments they did, books they read, games they played outside, and just anxious to tell me about her entire day at school! They serve organic/natural food in a family eating style in the cafeteria, which we really like. The children are responsible for clearing their own plates and serving themselves and teachers are invited to join them for lunch. I know "organic" seems so trendy but when you're coming from a school where they only give your children goldfish and what they call "meatloaf", this is a huge bonus. The tuition is average, which shocked me considering everything that you're getting here! We expected it to be much more expensive! They have an indoor play area for rainy days, a gorgeous library/computer lab. I have honestly never seen a teacher with a sour look on their face, they always seem to be having fun and enjoying their job. Every time we enter the school, we are greeted with a smile and the girls are welcomed with open arms (literally, the teacher greets them with a hug!). If you are looking for a quality, professional, friendly school for your little one to attend, please go take a look for yourself. I have no doubt you will feel the same way I do by the end of your tour.

My son came from a different local preschool. All students stayed in one classroom all day and only got to go outside for recess. They even ate lunch at the same table they were expected to work to work at. This school has a cafeteria, science room, indoor playground, nurse's station, splash pad and multiple classrooms that are used throughout the day. The schedule is different every day. This atmosphere has encouraged my child to be young and curious and still challenged by the type of curriculum that will place him at the top of his class. And, they have a 100% organic/natural menu.

We toured here along with many other private preschools after deciding to place our son in a Pre-K program. The staff is very welcoming and they offer a wonderful tour of the facility. The school has taken security very seriously, including a digital scanner to enter the facility and a wall of TV screens that allow you to view each area of the school. The Pre-K program is wonderful; we saw our son develop not only in the educational sense, but socially and individually as well. Now that our son is in Kindergarten we have the opportunity to take advantage of the after-school enrichment program. The counselors interact with the kids and create a fun atmosphere of learning and fun. There is a visible bond of friendship and respect that is present between the counselors and kids. Our son thoroughly enjoys the time that he spends here and is always asking to return.

We absolutely love this school!  My son has been there almost a year, and it is fantastic.  We moved him from his other day care just so that he could be closer to our house and start going to school with kids he will hopefully go to elementary school with.  We didn't realize how much his old school was lacking until he got here. The staff is excellent and has been since he started.  The teachers are so caring, and they really pay attention to each and every child.  I can't say enough good things about my son's teachers.  I like the fact that the same teacher is there when I drop him off and pick him up each day.  The teachers truly care about their students, and it shows.   They send out weekly lesson plans, and they are always working on something.  My son comes home with different art and projects all the time, and it's all so creative.  You can tell that the staff put time and effort into planning projects that go with the weekly theme.  It doesn't seem as chaotic as other day cares I have seen.   The playgrounds are awesome, and I love the indoor muscle room for when the weather is bad or too hot.  They have a computer lab/library also.  The kids have something different to do every day, which keeps them busy.  I would recommend this school to anyone and everyone!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I've toured MANY child care facilities and have never been more impressed! For the past 8 months, my two children have been attending here and they absolutely love it! From the moment you walk into the school, you're greeted by Administration. Their teachers are amazing, very energetic and extremely caring. The facility is gorgeous, it's filled from head to toe with unbelievable murals including the floors! This place is more than just an average school. It has great security with a digital coded entry and EXTREMELY CLEAN TOO! They have what's called "In-Service Day" twice a year to keep it sparkly clean and replace toys, supplies, etc. Also, each month you'll receive a digital Newsletter, Calendar and Menu from the Administration. Overall, it's been a wonderful experience for my family and we couldn't be happier!

Amazing Day Care and After School Program Day Care Facility. All the staff go above and beyond to take great care of the children. I'm extremely happy with their services. My son loves going to Star Preschools for after school day care program and full time during Summer. What i love the most and what sets them apart from any other day care facilities are, 1. They have outstanding programs filled with field trips and other activities in the summer that keep the kids on their toes and allow them to have a great summer 2. All staff are very proactive and go above and beyond trying to accommodate to your needs even if it's last minute 3. They care for your kid(s) as if they are their own. As a newcomer from out of state, this school is by far the best in the entire country! Immediately upon my initial visit, I knew my daughter would love it here. Upon entering the parking lot, the area was very clean and tucked away from the main road. That is a great safety feature for the little ones!! When I entered the building, I was immediately in AWE! The decor is the absolute best and captivating for any child or adult. The staff are super friendly and personable. I feel assured that my baby girl is in the absolute best hands. Sydney has the best spirit, so warm and compassionate. There are so many beautifully decorated and clean classrooms. I was truly impressed with this academy, it is more than just a preschool. My daughter is much more social now, she adores her teachers and friends, she is has a larger vocabulary in such a short time and she seems more confident and a bit more mature. I am thrilled that there is no need to buy new clothes because each child wears a uniform which is very easy and hassle-free for our children. Especially on who wants to wear specific items each day...no more morning struggles with outfits!!! I feel great about my child being a student here. She looks forward to going to school each day to see her new friends and teachers and that is true reassurance that she is in the best place!!!

My son has attended the early preschool class for a year and I am really happy to see the clear progress my child has made: + On social skills: When he first came there, he was a shy boy with rare interaction/communication with his classmates or even with parents at home but now he talks a lot more and has become much more engaging with his friends. Not yet to the level I want but he is improving. + On language skills: My family is non-native English speakers so at home we don’t speak in English to each other. But its negative effects on my son seem to be lessen since he came to study at Star Preschools. This happened thanks to the patient of his teachers and his classmate who didn’t give up on a shy and quite boy like him. + On discipline: My son becomes more disciplined i.e. can clean his own toys after playing with them, and he still loves going to school every morning. (We really need more of this as we are always go easy on him at home!) I am confident to let him continue his study there next year, thanks to: + Great teachers/great staffs: Most staffs know my son by name and they all look happy and energetic whenever I came to drop off or pick up my kid. The teacher of my son – Ms. Amanda, shows great patient in helping him become more open in class and I can reach out to her easily to discuss about how I believe she can help my kid. My son enjoys being around her, willing to listen to her and I can say his classmates also developed a strong bond with her. + Great facility: The school was built on a separate and quite area, away from the main street and it seems new. This strategic location allows the kids to get real fresh air while playing at the outdoor playground. The green area is enough, not too much so I don’t have to worry about bugs/worms… The school has been designed as a school, not just an old building that they renovated to accommodate the kids, so it is filled with natural light and good air circulation. I have visited a few other schools and this is the only school that the dining area and playing/studying areas are separated. I think it is good for hygiene purposes and it also let the kids learn that they need to eat in the dining room. The indoor playground has everything my kid need and they even have a water splashing area for summers, which my kid absolutely loves! + His classmates: All the kids seem nice and well-behave. Many of them will greet me son when he comes to class. The much older kids also make me feel the same. So, it is a good environment for kid to observe and learn from others. I really wish I had sent my son here earlier so he can be as active and as confident as his friends there. We delayed sending him to a daycare for too long after he got sick frequently at another daycare when he was younger.

I have nothing but positive things to say! As a new mom, the thought of dropping my 12-week-old daughter off at daycare gave me so much anxiety. We attended our discovery day, and my anxiety was eased. Although there were multiple crying/fussy babies in a room of 8-9 infants, the teachers handle the chaos with so much grace! The way they are able to tend to every baby’s need and keep track of who needs to be fed, changed, needs a nap, wants to be held or rocked, who has a food allergy, etc. is simply amazing! We toured a few other facilities before we went here, and it far surpassed every other place we saw. Before starting, my daughter was already starting to show signs of “stranger danger.” This school has already helped so much with her socialization skills. Additionally, they do so many fun activities with the babies! It’s unreal! They paint, learn Spanish and sign language, and have music class. I know my daughter is in great and competent hands every day I drop her off. There’s also a nurse on campus every day to keep track of immunizations, illnesses, etc. Overall, we know we made the best choice for our daughter when we decided to enroll her here. We can’t wait to see how she grows and develops throughout her time there.

As a parent, there's nothing more reassuring than to see your child confidently walk to their classroom and almost forget to hug you goodbye because they're ready to play and learn. That's what this school has given our family in such a short time, and that's what they give every family. Everyone - the directors, the admin staff, the teachers, the chef, and even the amazing maintenance man...they all care deeply about their job and their role in creating the perfect learning environment for my son. And as for us as parents, they are transparent and dedicated to making us feel like we're a part of their family too. There's an app that allows us to check in and see pictures and little anecdotes about the day. It allows us to know what he's learning, so we can sing the same songs, sign the same signs, and genuinely feel like we were a part of his day. There's even an ESA, which my son loves because who doesn't love dogs!? Every time I see someone in search of a daycare I recommend here. They gave us the most precious gift a working parent could ever ask for: a happy son and the knowledge that he's loved and cared for even when we're not there. Thank you, we love you guys.

Believe it or not this school was not our first choice. I had myself convinced we were sending him to Primrose and that was the best of the best. But everything was so cold and sterile there. The director didn’t know the names of her team. The teachers were indifferent. I left there feeling defeated. But then we visited here. Immediately it felt like home. I cried on our tour. (Happy tears and relieved tears). It was the one decision my husband and I didn’t have to step away to discuss. This school is truly is the best of the best. Please let Ms Tonya know (although I’m sure she already does) that everyone at here is amazing. Ms Dyanne and Ms Megan will always have a spot in my heart for being so reassuring and positive and getting us through the toughest transition we’ve had so far. Ms Susan and Ms Christina take so many pictures and just effortlessly transitioned him in to Toddler B. I could go on forever. But she has to know how special everyone there is. And I am forever grateful.

Toured several other daycares in the area and this exceeded them all! Just a few of the things I love about it: the security involved with getting into the school and checking your kids in/out, the colorful walls and floors and artwork make it visually appealing and less scary for kids, both indoor and outdoor play areas which is obviously important when weather can be crazy, the management knows all the kids and thoroughly seems to care about the families, communication is very thorough with a real time app to see how your child's day is going instead of just a note after school, and a nurse on site! I am a pediatric nurse with a toddler and an infant so I feel that I am fairly reliable to recognize whether a place is safe or not. Even with the tiny nit-picky things I have brought up to the staff and/or management it is addressed very quickly and appropriately. 10/10 recommend!

We took our daughter to another daycare where unfortunately we learned that you get what you pay for. When we moved we toured several different daycares and were very cautious after our previous experience, but even just calling Star Preschools to book a tour I could tell they were organized and friendly. We fell in love and haven’t looked back. Our daughter has been going here for almost two years and now our son has been going for a year. I tell all of my friends and family members in the area to get their kids in here because we feel so strongly about it. There is also an app that the teachers document diapers/potty, meals, naps and even pictures that you can look at throughout the day. I love the way the administrators & teachers take care of the kids. Originally, I was very concerned about the food and how my kids will fit in the day care. We have our second child here, we absolutely love it, all the staff is very friendly, they are ready to help. With our First son, we had a hard transition from trauma on his previous school, so the staff and principals worked hard to welcome him and have him adapted. We enrolled our little one 20 months in August and the staff was amazing to have him adapted to the school, he never been without mom and daddy. So we were afraid of their adaptation. It was done seamlessly for my son and we can see his progress every day. Now with 23 months he eats without help, he enjoys all the staff members, and he never got sick at school, since this place is amazing cleaned and maintained. You can get a daily report through their app, with photos and all details about your kid at school. Definitively, I do recommend this school to all families that care about your kid security, health, development, and care.

My baby girl has been here since she was about 4 months old (she's almost 6 months now). I am a first time mom and was very hesitant to leave my child ANYWHERE, for an extended amount of time. They did a really good job of easing my fears and answering all of my questions (I had a lot) beforehand. I definitely had some working mom guilt going back to work and leaving my baby at daycare, but the teachers in Infant A room are really good about updating me with the app on naps, bottles, etc...I've definitely noticed that my baby has gotten MUCH better with her motor skills since starting daycare. She is almost able to crawl at this point, and is practically standing up on her own. I think being around other babies all day has also made her much more social and playful. I work from home, and even if I had a babysitter here I was constantly checking on and stressing over the baby, making it hard to be productive with work. This school has definitely given me some sanity back on the days they have her.

I am a teacher (high school) with an M Ed, and we (my husband works in higher ed) chose this school over a dozen others that we toured and some that we actually attended for a time. We had some negative experiences at other area schools (in which my child spent most of her day bored and wandering aimlessly while the teacher ignored the class-on camera). We pulled her out immediately. This school is definitely a welcome change! My child used to melt down about going to school, even waking up several times at night with anxiety about school. We started in the fall of 2019, and it is a complete turnaround. My daughter is excited about school, she never wants to leave at the end of the day, and she adores her teachers. It's always a good sign when you see educators taking their children to a preschool, and I see A LOT of other teachers taking their kids in the morning. I even work with other teachers that have their kids here. Here is why this school is different: they have an actual CURRICULUM; the teachers are INVESTED; the kids get to move around to different rooms/outdoors to access other learning opportunities (so important for busy young learners); the staff is LOVING (from maintenance through food service to the front desk); and they have a comfort dog (I can't tell you how this has impacted my daughter). They design fresh activities for the kids and actually teach; this is not a daycare, but a school! I can't list all the ways this school is the best school, but we have been absolutely thrilled with our experience.

Starboard Academy has been such a great experience for us! As a first-time parent and not being from this area I spent a lot of time researching and asking tons of questions as I spoke to personnel from several schools in the area. Due to the pandemic, many of the schools only allowed a virtual tour so trying to find the right school was very difficult. How could I send my child to a school that I never saw in person and ensure he was going to be in a safe and clean environment with a good curriculum based on pictures and phone calls. As I was driving in the area, I suddenly came across Starboard Academy. I immediately called the next day and was able to schedule an in- person tour after hours. Sydney and Tonya were great and very patient with my husband and I as we went through the process of making the decision to sign up. The classrooms and activity areas in-door/out-door are so much fun for the kids. All areas are clean and safe. The teachers provide updates and pictures throughout the day, approx. each hour, through their school app so parents can know how their child's day is going. Each month parents are provided a schedule of events which include holiday parties or dress up days for the children. In addition, each week parents receive details of the curriculum their child's class will be learning. For any parent unsure of what daycare/preschool to choose in the Plymouth area.

Starboard Academy has been so wonderful for my son and daughter. All of the staff are kind and nurturing. The facility itself is beautiful. The kids have lunch cooked by a chef, that is all natural and organic. Not having to worry about healthy lunches and snacks everyday has been huge! They post pics of what the kids do in the app all day, so parents can stay connected. That was a huge bonus for us! They are just wonderful! Can’t say enough good things about Starboard!

My 16 month old daughter recently started at Starboard Academy in Plymouth. I remember 3 days in, I told my husband that I already noticed that she had learned some new words. She really seems to have so much fun each day, and I love seeing the pictures and updates in real time in the app. She loves looking at the fish in the giant fish tank, and she loves playing with the emotional support dog. The administrators, teachers, and staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The facilities are beautiful, and I love all the different rooms she gets to spend her time in. As a teacher myself, I appreciate that the principal sends out weekly lesson plans. I love knowing what she’s learning so I can reinforce it at home.
